Alice Orninfel, a human girl, once met a lonely faerie Fretheari (Ari, for short) in an unlikely place. And in a short while a day of understanding came. Words were said while playfully strolling through the fae forest. A shy kiss.

But soon enough they’ve met Alice’s father, a lone parent, and she shared her secret with him. A trick of glamour. Of course he couldn’t be here. It was a father of Ari, a fae. He dropped his act and said mercilessly: “This is but a bewitching effect of a fae upon a human and in about two weeks my daughter will not care whether you even exist. A new faerie will be born and that is the only reason for this happening. This is not love but a fleeting desire fated to end for we are embodiments of impermanence and change. You should go home and forget it ever happened, that’ll make you much happier in the end.”

Ari broke down in tears as her father left not giving her as much as a glance.

Alice moved to Ari, grabbed her by the shoulders and hesitated a bit waiting for her own chaotic thoughts to organize themselves. Then she said: “Do you wish it to be real?” A short pause. Not having enough strength for words Ari nods. “So it will be then,” Alice said pulling Ari to her.
